WHAT IS THE TRAIL OF TEARS?

The Trail of Tears is the Indians getting kicked out of their native lands west of the Mississippi River.

They were moved against their will to an area where they could not live their lives the way they were used to.

The President that ordered this was Andrew Jackson

The order was called the Indian Removal Act.
